The Procurement Show podcast: How to Create A Branded Podcast

The Procurement Show (1)

How do you create a podcast as a trusted industry resource that can also complement your brand?

When we launched The Procurement Show podcast in 2020, our goal wasn’t just to create a podcast – it was to build a space for insightful discussions about procurement, bringing together industry experts, fresh ideas, and even a little humour along the way!

Now, 50 episodes later, with 300,000+ listens, streamed in 71 countries and in the top 10% most followed/shared podcast globally, it’s become a valuable resource for professionals in procurement.

So what was the goal of our podcast, you ask? For us, it was about creating engaging and informative content that also aligned with our brand, Positive Purchasing. We saw it as a long-term investment – one that wouldn’t deliver instant results but would, over time, help us build credibility and connect with a wider audience. Looking back, we’re glad we made that commitment.

What Makes the Podcast Work?

A great podcast isn’t about promotion, it’s about sharing knowledge and starting meaningful conversations. Over the past year, we’ve seen more people tuning in, with:

  • A 35% increase in listeners
  • 30% more streams
  • 91% growth in followers

We’re thrilled to see the podcast resonate with so many people, and we appreciate everyone who’s been part of the journey so far.
